Landscape Technician
As a Landscape Technician, you’ll play an integral role in executing custom landscaping projects ranging from planting and grading to hardscaping and decorative concrete. Whether you’re experienced or eager to learn, we offer hands-on training and opportunities to advance into leadership or design roles.
Job Information
Key Responsibilities:

Execute landscaping tasks, including planting, grading, raking, and mulching.

Assist in the installation of hardscapes (e.g., patios, pathways, retaining walls), irrigation systems, and outdoor lighting.

Operate and maintain tools and equipment (training provided for skid steers, excavators, and other machinery).

Learn and develop skills in decorative concrete, including design, sculpting, and finishing techniques.

Read and implement landscaping plans with attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Ensure job sites remain clean, organized, and safe.
Ideal Candidate:

Knowledge: Familiarity with plants suited for Zones 3–5 is a plus.

Experience: Prior landscaping or hardscaping experience is desirable but not required. Skid steer or excavator experience is a bonus.

Intangibles: Strong work ethic, reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are essential. A good eye for setting grade and an appreciation for high-quality craftsmanship will set you apart.
Requirements:

Physically capable of lifting 50+ pounds and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Reliable personal transportation and an insurable driving record for use of company vehicles.

Authorization to work in the United States.

Compliance with Scapes Inc. policies, including professional appearance, workplace behavior, and safety standards.
Workplace Expectations:

Tattoos must not be offensive, sexual, violent, vulgar, or profane; no face tattoos.

Minimal and safe piercings; gauges and hazardous jewelry are not permitted.

Zero-tolerance policy for drugs, alcohol, and smoking during work hours. Periodic and random testing may be conducted.

Professional conduct is required; no cursing or inappropriate language on job sites.
