Concrete Foreman

As a Concrete Foreman, you will oversee and actively participate in all aspects of flatwork, from preparation to finishing. This includes managing a team to ensure projects are completed on time, to the highest standards, and in compliance with safety regulations. In addition to your flatwork expertise, you’ll need an eagerness to learn and apply decorative and sculpted concrete skills to enhance project offerings.

Job Information

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute flatwork projects, including stamped and broomed finishes.

  • Supervise and mentor crew members to maintain high-quality workmanship.

  • Meet with clients to discuss project requirements and expectations.

  • Accurately bid jobs, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.

  • Read and interpret project plans and specifications to guide the team.

  • Coordinate job site preparation, material ordering, and equipment operation.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Engage in hands-on training and application of decorative and sculpted concrete techniques.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience:

  • Demonstrated expertise in flatwork, including stamped and broomed finishes.

  • Previous leadership experience in concrete or construction is strongly preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining concrete equipment.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to read and implement plans accurately.

Personal Attributes:

  • Professional, reliable, and eager to learn decorative and sculpted concrete techniques.

Requirements:

  • Physically capable of lifting 50+ pounds and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and insurable driving record

  • Reliable personal transportation and an insurable driving record for use of company vehicles.

  • Authorization to work in the United States.

  • Commitment to workplace professionalism and adherence to safety standards.

Workplace Expectations:

  • Tattoos must not be offensive, sexual, violent, vulgar, or profane; no face tattoos are allowed.

  • Piercings must be minimal and safe; gauges and hazardous jewelry are not permitted.

  • Zero-tolerance policy for drugs, alcohol, and smoking during work hours. Periodic and random testing may be conducted.

  • Professionalism and respect are essential; no cursing or inappropriate behavior on job sites.
